1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of DBELL MAIL services. It is designed to protect our users, our network, and the internet community while maintaining the highest standards of professional communication.
2. Prohibited Activities
2.1 Spam and Unsolicited Email
Strictly Prohibited:
- Sending unsolicited bulk emails (spam)
- Mass email campaigns without explicit consent
- Email harvesting or list purchasing
- Using purchased, rented, or third-party email lists
- Sending emails after recipients have opted out
- Chain letters, pyramid schemes, or multi-level marketing spam
2.2 Malicious Content
Strictly Prohibited:
- Distributing viruses, malware, or trojans
- Phishing attempts or social engineering
- Distributing ransomware or keyloggers
- Any content designed to harm computer systems
- Attempting to compromise network security
2.3 Illegal Activities
Strictly Prohibited:
- Any activity that violates local, state, or federal laws
- Copyright or trademark infringement
- Distribution of illegal content
- Money laundering or financial fraud
- Drug trafficking or illegal substance sales
- Facilitating illegal gambling or betting
2.4 Abuse and Harassment
Strictly Prohibited:
- Harassment, threats, or intimidation
- Hate speech or discriminatory content
- Bullying or stalking
- Doxxing or sharing private information without consent
- Impersonation of individuals or organizations
3. Resource Usage Limits
- Storage: 50GB per free account, 500GB per Pro account (fair use policy applies)
- Sending Limits: Maximum 500 emails per day per free account, 2,000 per Pro account
- Attachment Size: Maximum 25MB per attachment
- Concurrent Connections: Maximum 10 simultaneous connections per account
- API Requests: Rate limited to prevent abuse
4. Content Guidelines
4.1 Prohibited Content
- Adult content or sexually explicit material
- Violence or graphic content
- Content promoting illegal activities
- Fraudulent or deceptive content
- Content that violates intellectual property rights
- Extremist or terrorist-related content
4.2 Commercial Use
- Limited commercial use is permitted for legitimate business communication
- Mass marketing campaigns require prior written approval
- All commercial emails must comply with CAN-SPAM Act and GDPR
- Recipients must have opted in to receive communications
- Unsubscribe mechanisms must be clearly provided and functional
5. Security Requirements
- Keep your password secure and do not share it with others
- Report suspected security breaches immediately to security@dbellmail.com
- Do not attempt to access other users' accounts or data
- Use strong passwords and enable two-factor authentication when available
- Regularly update your account recovery information
6. Monitoring and Enforcement
6.1 Monitoring
- We monitor for violations of this AUP using automated systems
- We do not read email content except when investigating violations or by court order
- We track sending patterns to detect spam and abuse
- Suspicious activities may trigger additional security measures
6.2 Enforcement Actions
- Warning: First offense may result in a warning and guidance
- Temporary Suspension: Serious violations may result in temporary account suspension (1-30 days)
- Permanent Termination: Severe or repeated violations will result in permanent account termination
- Legal Action: Criminal activities will be reported to law enforcement agencies
- Data Preservation: Account data may be preserved for legal proceedings

If your account is suspended or terminated:
- You may appeal the decision within 30 days of action
- Send appeal to: appeals@dbellmail.com
- Include detailed explanation and supporting evidence
- Appeals are reviewed by senior staff within 5 business days
- Appeal decisions are final and binding
9. Compliance with Laws
- Users must comply with all applicable laws and regulations
- International users must comply with both US law and local laws
- Commercial emails must comply with CAN-SPAM Act, GDPR, CASL, and other regulations
- DBELL MAIL reserves the right to suspend accounts pending legal clarification
10. Data Retention and Privacy
- We retain account data according to our Privacy Policy
- Deleted accounts may be retained for up to 90 days for recovery
- Legal holds may extend retention periods
- Users may request data export before account termination
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via:
- Email notification to all active users
- Prominent notice on dbellmail.com
- In-service notifications and alerts
- 30-day advance notice for significant changes
